ØKSE, "Axe" in Danish, is a new international Free Jazz super group featuring some of the top contemporary improvising musicians: Mette Rasmussen (Denmark), Savannah Harris (USA), Val Jeanty (Haiti/USA) and Pettr Eldh (Sweden). Their debut self-titled album was recently issued by the Hip Hop label Backwoodz Studioz and features guest spots from top rappers like billiy woods and ELUCID. OoD host David Mittleman interviewed the members of ØKSE from their studio in Berlin to discuss the band and their new album.
