BTW, Irwin, I read an interview you did recently on Jim Flora. Very good interview. Flora's name turns up a time or two in "Cartoon County," which I just finished reading.

Avatar 👻 5:41pm

Oops. "Cartoon County." Sorry for typo. Recent book by Cullen Murphy, whose dad drew "Prince Valiant" for a time. Many cartoonists lived in the same Connecticut area, and thus the book title. I never read Prince Valiant, but really enjoyed the book. Well written and, not surprisingly, good illustrations. Link: www.powells.com...

My typo, not yours, LOT. I'll check out the book. I know Flora was friendly with lots of artists, illustrators, and cartoonists in CT over the years. There's lots of correspondence and shared art in the Flora archives. Joseph Low, R.O. Blechman, Crockett Johnson, many others.
