But it's important to recognize that the mere public performance by a campaign of an artist's music, so long as it is "properly licensed," is not a copyright violation, which seems to be the implicit understanding. "Bruce Springsteen wrote and performed that song. You can't take it and use it." But you can. Just don't tread into ASCAP's items 1, 2, or 3.

The thing is they have been allowing huge developments to be built over the past 10 years when I don't think those areas have been fully "remediated" and now they're discovering toxic fumes and stuff in pre-existing structures, and people seem to be surprised.
