Did I ever tell you that I 'met' Ann Margret? Ha ha. During the Toronto Intl Film Festival about 25 years ago. I was unlocking my bicycle from a meter around 10 p.m. on a sidewalk next to a main drag, and I stood up with my lock and turned ... to face HER (!) and her husband (I assume). It was a warm night, so at first it was the fur coat, and the sunglasses, and then her face grinning at me as the recognition crept over mine. I gasped, then smiled back, and politely said "Have a good evening, folks," as I turned to my bike and left them alone, but not before they wished me the same. She was still way larger than life. And beautiful. And very much a movie star.

The problem of reissues featuring new covers plagues me constantly. HatHut and its subsidiary labels are a special source of grief. Hat will simply reissue an older release with a different cover, which of course looks familiar, but only because Hat has its various house styles of packaging. But sometimes Hat will reissue an original with additional material, too, which I'm likely to want.
