	1:56pm StringOFperils: Someone screened a print of Ornette In America here back in the 80s when I saw it. I think Shirley Clark came with it. I remember this scene with a wild-eyed Ornette saying that he wanted to be castrated because his sexual thoughts were getting in the way of the music.

	2:32pm Dean: For a couple years I had a favorite coffee shop in Montreal's Vieux Port. I wish I could remember the name...started with a C, as I recall. Anyway, this was late '90s, when CDs were the format of choice for music storage. The proprietors left CDs scattered about the store, among them the two disc Hilliard recital of Gesualdo's Tenebrae: https://www.discogs.com/Gesualdo-The-Hilliard-Ensemble-Tenebrae/master/581777 I asked them to spin it, and they did. I spent a marvelous hour or so there.

Yep, it's another Sunday celebrating another great bop musician. A genuflection in the direction of Tina Brooks, whose life and career ended far too soon, but who packed a lot of wonder into a few short years.

	1:56pm StringOFperils: Someone screened a print of Ornette In America here back in the 80s when I saw it. I think Shirley Clark came with it. I remember this scene with a wild-eyed Ornette saying that he wanted to be castrated because his sexual thoughts were getting in the way of the music.

Anyway, this was late '90s, when CDs were the format of choice for music storage. I spent a marvelous hour or so there.
