During The Stranglers "Something Better Change" I happened to click on a link (Trump's valet has tested positive for Covid.19) that took me to CNN. I read the article and moved on. During the song, a newscast started broadcasting consisting of quotes from the Trump admin of their idiotic, unfounded statements. All this while "Something better Change" is playing in the foreground. I was surprised that Pseu would be "mashing" this up, but also that it worked really well. in high school I interned at an AM/FM radio station in Boston and the FM side was almost entirely automated using a massive computer that was fed punch cards corresponding to songs. When the computer glitched out it would start playing "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da," and we would race into the control room to get things working again. To this day I am still a little traumatized when I hear the opening bars of that song.
The point of this story is that I'm going to ask Scott W to keep a copy of the White album handy in the studio when I'm doing my show from home, and to start playing "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da" when my stream drops out.
