No one expects the jump discontinuity. They expect the continuity mode. But the jump has turned up weird weird stuff. It has the moment of most complete stillness before the jump and the moment when the farthest she can move is to touch the ground. In fact, that is the center of the jump. I have no idea how to explain it.

Here's a real humdinger: one of my coworkers, she lives over the river in NJ, her partner works for US Foods. So the company is giving away bulk food to employees, then donating the rest. She puts out a call to us here offering food, one of the things on the list is Hummus, so I say, ok yes please. Well today she says, ok there's FOUR POUNDS OF HUMMUS for you.

WHAT DO I DO WITH FOUR LBS OF HUMMUS??? I'm just one person. Any ideas? Like can I do a protein treatment in my hair or something? lol
