I missed out on the original airings of The Avengers by a few years, but was tuned in without fail when A&E re-aired it just after I graduated HS and whilst I was in junior college, now nearly a full 30 years ago this coming fall (yikes). And FWIW, who wouldn't fall hard for Mrs. Peel?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm
Funky16Corners:

If you ever get the chance check out the 1968 film of a Midsummer's Night Dream, featuring both Diana Rigg and a young Helen Mirren
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm

There was a certain frisson of dominatrix w/ Emma...always, "Mrs. Peel", for instance.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm

@ParUbi
I bought that 4-CD set The Conet Project (en.wikipedia.org...) hot off the shelves! Oh how I wish all that crap was a hoax. It would be so much more interesting.
Avatar 3:56pm

@Funky16: Yes, that was what he most often went by - just "Sir Julian". First learned of him years ago from the "Organs in Orbit" comp. CD that was part of the Ultra-Lounge series.

Funky16Corners:

@MMM - The 45 I have is 'Dansero'

I haven't seen The Man Called Flintstone movie in full either. I have seen what is called a YouTube Poop of the movie, which is basically a remixed, edited version that's been done for comedy. It's called the Flint Called Manstone and it's a pretty well re-edited version of the movie and it's hilarious.

Pretty explicit though but worth checking out if you want a laugh.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:29pm
Matt from New Orleans:

There was a really fun Secret Squirrel back up comic in the surprisingly good Scooby Apocalypse comic that ran from 2016-2019. It was part of DC’s attempt to modernize and adultify Hanna Barbara’s cartoons for Generation X. The best of those was The Flintstones and Exit Stage Left: The Snagglepuss Chronicles both written by Mark Russell.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm
Funky16Corners:

@Matt - I remember those vaguely, especially the Snagglepuss one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:34pm
Matt from New Orleans:

The Snagglepuss one was a brilliant satire of the McCarthy Era with Snagglepuss as a gay left wing playwright and very loosely based on Tennessee Williams.
