Lenny’s inflection when he sings “constellations” sounds so much like Jim Carroll singing “confirmation” in “Catholic Boy”. So cool!

@Meillsa Jean, parts of it sure. Lots of love for Philly. But the poconos...? It really wasn't cool in the 90s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm
Mr. Pumpy:

@Jett...I guess I got on with him alright, but his prices were usually ridiculous. I did get the Beastie Boys' Polly Wog Stew 7" there for a good price. I think that was my only true conquest at Bleecker Bob's. I used to go to Second Coming around the corner...and also, damn...I can't remember. Another good record shop just south of the park over there. Fond memories. This show is killing me!

Cheap Thrills was great! I lived down there for a while and was quite pleased to have that in the neighborhood. Not to mention I would hit Vintage Vinyl on my way back to my dad's in Nutley. VV was a third of the size back then.

@Mr. Pumpy, yes I do miss those days. I remember 99 records, Golden Disc, Record Runner, Free Being, a few other cool places. Bob's prices were tough but I managed to get some good deals.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44pm
Mr. Pumpy:

@Jett...respect! I just didn't have the patience sometimes. What was fun though was going to Bleecker Bob's anyhow and then seeing if I could sniff something out at half the price around town. I still collect, but the pre-internet days were so much more exciting.

@Mr. Pumpy, I completely agree. That era means so much to me. I loved sniffing out great items! There was nothing like it! Much respect!
