"Paul Kantner's Jefferson Starship" is entirely distinct from "Jefferson Starship, as far as I'm concerned.

andrewb:

i think its pronounced stah-ship
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm
Uncle Michael:

Inasmuch as it's a "P.E.R.R.O." album.
Avatar 10:33pm
Veronica (OG):

Wholeheartedly agree. Blows Against the Empire is mind blowing.

That weird 1970s era where science fiction and rock melded was quite great.
Avatar 10:36pm
Dave Mandl:

@Jake: Agreed. But then came Rush.
Avatar 10:36pm
Veronica (OG):

LOL
Avatar 10:38pm
Dave Mandl:

Special unannounced version of "Can-Can" by Can there. Oops.
  10:38pm
JakeGould:

@DaveMandl: Rush meant a lot to me until I hit 16. But yeah, I know…
Avatar 10:39pm
Dave Mandl:

UM: Huh, don't think I've ever heard of PERRO.
Avatar 10:40pm
Dave Mandl:

I was never a Rush fan. Not putting them down--I just somehow never caught that bug.
Avatar 10:41pm
Veronica (OG):

I have to admit I loved Rush in high school, and even saw them live.

Uncle Michael:

It was an interesting time and place. A friend of mine was producer or engineer on a bunch of those albums and others by the primary bands that most of those people were playing hookey from. He worked at Heider's in S.F.
  10:42pm
JakeGould:

@DaveMandl: I’m younger than you so to me, rock and roll was all about Led Zeppelin, The Police, Rush and an assortment of new wave bands in the 1980s.
Avatar 10:42pm
HollyT:

WOW, I just remembered your show was on and you're playing COS. I'm obsessed with this song
