high frequency words instead of low frequency words

Dave--but with 'coincidence', it's really difficult to give a succinct/simple definition.
Avatar 3:33pm
annie:

i'm well, jason..this is geat selection so far!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm
Alex In Illinois:

First, explain what an incident is, then explain what the "co-" prefix of combining form does to a word.

Hi all

Jason Elbogen:

Alex-but with that explanation, any two co-occurrences would be a 'coincidence'. Like if there was a car accident outside my apartment right as I spill a wine glass.
  4:11pm
Dean:

Coincidentally, there was a car accident outside my apartment as I spilled a wine glass precisely when that comment appeared!
  4:13pm
Dean:

On my stereo system at the time, Eric Burdon & War's "Spill the Wine" and The Avengers' "Car Crash"!
  4:18pm
Dean:

Don't worry so much about the mathematics, the probability issue with "coincidence." Consider issues of causation. Coincidence is the co-occurrence of two events, as Alex suggests. When two events co-occur, we sometimes have an inclination to assume one causes the other, or that they share a cause. But if their occurrence is merely coincidence, there is no causal relationship.

Dean:

Dang. Give the drummer some.

Jason an hour later (after Semantics class, no less) I havent heard all of your talking. Do you teach English?

I think it's originally Hindu, it comes from Sanskrit, but it 's been applied more widely in contemporary times.

I usually have a laptop handy for double duty when I 'm on the air.

Dean:

Long ago as I drove a freeway in LA I was sideswiped by a semi with a trailer. My car spun around perpendicular to the direction of traffic, and the truck pushed me down the freeway before braking. I was scared. I thought the end was near. But I wasn't scared shitless. I was seriously pissed off.

Collaborative playlists....hmmmm. Marathon premium?
Like across the pond they do fancasts of football (soccer) matches so you can listen to regular ppl instead of paid sportscasters.
  4:54pm
Dean:

I read that Curious George story every few months to my daughter.
  4:55pm
Mark R:

I'd think twice about giving out that password!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm
Dave in Vermont:

Try reading Curious George from an post-colonialism perspective.
  4:56pm
Dean:

My mother--nearing 90YO--utterly loathes Curious George. I'm threatening to have him appear at her 90th shindig.
Avatar 5:05pm
annie:

i really disliked the curious george stories, on so many levels. i even avoided reading them to my son
  5:05pm

This is hilarious
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22pm

good annie, you shouldn't read them - they're fucked up

mind blown, Jason

the whole robot paradox blew my mind

She finds him "creepy." I don't mind him all that much. The Man in the Yellow Hat is weirdly allegorical in ways I can't decipher.
  5:29pm
Dean:

Ergo, a set of songs not obviously related to each other!

When I was a kid I was a huge Curious George fan. He was my favorite stuffed animal. It was when I was reading it to my daughter that I realized it was about a white man, saving and knowing what was best for a lesser creature from Africa. Conscious or not it is part of the paradigm that needs undoing.

Jane Goodall books instead.
