When we did the Norton mini-tour of Canada, the CD that got the most spins in the van was Billy's homemade Fortune comp. That Earthquakes cut was on it.
What other record company could suffer a warehouse flood, ask their customers to come and help clean the waterlogged vinyl…and have people actually turn up to help? This spoke worlds about the good will engendered by Billy and Miriam and their wonderful Norton label, as does the number of 'FMU tribute shows airing this week. Dave The Spazz's show was such a great thing, as is this episode of FP. I'm sorry you lost your friend, Rex, but you're certainly doing right by his memory and legacy.
Beautiful show, Rex.
That's why Billy was such a great guy...he'd just want everybody to remember him fondly and have a good time. What else is there to say?
