Rex: I love the story about the Bullwinkle puppet. The legend goes that the show moving from ABC to NBC was uncomfortable, at least for Bill Scott. So, he created the puppet segments as a way to push back on the network. Reportedly, Bullwinkle told the kids to remove the channel dial from Dad & Mom's TV set, and then didn't quite follow the network's instruction to rescind the order by telling the kids to GLUE the knob back on so it could only be tuned in the channel that carried the Bullwinkle show. Finally, the legend says the Bullwinkle puppet was at this point pulled altogether, until he showed up as a guest once on Fractured Flickers. I have no idea how much any of this is true but it is great story. I watched these shows when first broadcast but I don't specifically remember these alleged segments.
I just pledged $100 from my company's matching website, so you should be gettin' 200 to help pay for some stuff, I hope.
My company may or may not want to have their name mentioned, which is actually sort of funny since my beloved wfmu is at the opposite end of the universe from them.
