LM: As an alternative I would like to vote for all
wild octopuses speaking strange tongues, wearing a
technicolor dream coat like myself, listening to Sun Ra
and creating outer space music and jazz operas
with vocals by Meredith Monk and interludes by
klezmer bands. That's my people.

IC: Here, I found your candidate.

LM: This octopus makes me happy. Very. Thank you.

IC: Octopotus. His campaign slogan: "The arms of the law
are not long, but they are omnilateral."

Octopus, the most intelligent of the invertebrates. Sounds like a legit candidate. The matching bowtie is a nice touch.

Today's Joe Frank selection is probably my favorite of all time. I first heard it in, IIRC, the 1990s on his own show here. Next a few years ago on Irwin's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm
Irwin:

Yeah, it's a Top 10 Joe show. We could air it every week and no one would get tired of it.

#2 for me may be "A Natural Disaster".

Listener Robert:

That reminds me of something I was just thinking last night: It'd be fun if some people were doing a play series on WFMU, but with better writing & prod'n than Judson Fountain drammers. We do get a little of that on "Prove It All Night", and in-one multiple-voice efforts by Hearty White & occasionally Clay Pigeon. But I was thinking more in the style of multiple-microphone live plays of ~ 1 hr.

That's if there were people who wanted to do that, and the studio space. Just saying that if anybody wanted to cook it, I'd eat it. That's the easy part, of course.

What'd Kent State mean to me? An early summer vacation from school. I couldn't get much in the way of wrapped up about it, but they used it as an excuse to end the term early. They just called an assembly, we discussed things very briefly, and then it was, get out of here now, we'll end your grades.
  3:43pm
Listener Robert:

Send the grades, I meant.
