Fools Paradise is the soundtrack to my neighbour leaf blowing his snow. He just spent 25 minutes blowing the snow off his driveway instead of spending 5 minutes with a shovel. What a lunchbox.

Herb also shone (shined?) in eight episodes of "Love American Style", to which Gaylord payed musical tribute two weeks ago; as eight different characters: LAS was an anthology, and very much influenced by the broadway comedies of Neil Simon, whose "Barefoot in the Park" was Herb's big break, on stage and in the movie with Redford and Fonda.
I remember when Herb bit the big one twenty years ago, only 62 years old, he was so familiar to my family from TV and movies that it was almost like we lost someone we knew personally...
