Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from July 31, 2015 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Judy Collins "Someday Soon"? Buddy.
Nancy Sinatra's country album? Buddy.

Great there are so many Red Hot Mamas around!

Other Emmons trivia that Michael probably already knows: for a big chunk of the 90s, Don and Phil Everly used Buddy in their road band, with Albert Lee on guitar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm
Uncle Michael:

I saw them at TPAC in the '90s...Albert was there. I don't remember if Buddy was.

More trade news: Ben Revere to the Blue Jays.

Hello HDTers. Unc, your lawn comments make me feel a bit guilty about whining before push-mowing my 15' X 50' backlawn. That doesn't even make to the pitcher's mound!

I'm guessing the Orioles getting Parra ended their interest in Revere?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm
Uncle Michael:

I'd guess so. The Parra deal went down?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm
Uncle Michael:

I mow on my ass, Kevin. It's just a matter of time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm
efd:

yeah, it was announced earlier this morning (or maybe late last night)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm

Notable to me because the Brewers received Orioles pitching prospect Zach Davies (no relation) in return.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm
Uncle Michael:

I'd heard that was the return...didn't know the deal had been confirmed.

UM your ass is grass?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm

Some speculation now on Twitter that the Revere deal may not have really happened yet.

nothing concrete, UM. Some chatter about a Cubs/Padres deal involving Kimbrel and Tyson Ross, nothing about the Sox being a part of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm
efd:

also a separate report that Red Sox are interested in Ross, but didn't mention Cubs tie-in.
