Hi Irene. Back for another round of fine tunes. What's cookin? Buried in snow up here as you must be too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:05pm
Webhamster Henry:

Irene, you might like my friend Fredo Viola's music! Very interesting melodically - like this, but a lot less country orchestration. In fact, he's usually fairly a cappella!
Avatar 9:09pm

Nice photo of NYC brownstones with snow. Ah the city. How I sometimes miss it. If I could figure out how to take a photo of the snow & trees here in my backyard and post it to you, I would. Any ideas?

Thanks Peter! The whole Punch Bros. album is equally great. Hi Van! Better late than never. gongoleer, yes that's the same John Compton, who was in the band Appaloosa. Do you know him? Listener Don put me in touch and John sent me a few of his own albums.Small world!

Wonderful start to the program Irene.

This is wonderful! Should be followed up by, um, Sandy Denny? Fairport? Steeleye Span? Maggie Reilly with Mike Oldfield? Heck, Sally Oldfield?

Ken From Hyde Park:

Right after snowfall is the best. The newfallen snow heaped up on the branches in sharp contrast to the dark shades of the tree bark and maybe rocks if you're in a park. Also, the muffled quiet and the crunch of the footsteps.

'Evening, Miss Irene and followers. As this lovely music warms our Tuesday night, the conversation around the hearth here at the Parq homestead has turned to the Dylan supper-club album. The consensus hereabouts is that Neil Young was right -- it *is* better to burn out than it is to rust.

I would bet dollars to donuts that the amazing songs by Mike OldField & Maggie Rielly have never even been played on FMU. Mike couldn't sing worth a darn, but Maggie sure could! I'm talking like Poison Arrow, To France, Moonlight Shadow...none of those I would bet a thousand dollars have NEVER been played on WFMU. What a shame.
