Holidays inspire Therese to put together a themed playlist. And they're always great!
Avatar 12:15am

Yea - I think this is a theme I can get into - Hi Therese!

Pretty much every ancestor of mine that I know of, from that era, was also on the Union side.....one maternal line(surnamed Dezotell, for those interested in genealogy) lost all but one or two of their five (or was it six?) sons in the war. =(

Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

I'm way behind in watching the current Doctor Who season, but so far it seems like a big mess. I'm glad to hear it gets better.

Lonely Planet Boy:

My favorite track on this LP.

Ike:

IMHO this season of Dr. Who was loads of fun and much more thoughtful and focused than the previous 2 seasons (except for that ridiculous Robin Hood ep.), but YMMV, Bob. I dig the cranky new Doctor a lot.
Avatar 12:44am
Therese:

Ike- absolutely. Peter Capaldi's Doctor is fantastically cranky. And much more alien than the last three (4, if we count the War Doctor) Doctors have been.
Avatar 12:44am
Andrew Fetter:

I feel like Capaldi and this season in general is more reminiscent of the original run of the show. I felt there was a bit too much teen drama in the Tennant and Smith years. Still liked them plenty, but I've really enjoyed where the show has gone this past season. Still have yet to watch the finale though.
  12:45am
Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

Well, I haven't gotten last the Robin Hood episode, so that may be coloring my thinking.

This Fugazi demo is pretty awesome. Can't wait to hear the entire thing.

Bad Giblet Zero:

I looked up June Jackson's releases on Discogs. There's no production credits listed on the page for "Port of Happiness." But some of the records he released prior to that one were produced by Mike Post [THEE Mike Post of TV theme song fame].
