George of Troy:

Nice to hear a tribute to Parmegiani. Just back from two days at the record fair, and it's great to wind down to this.
  12:32am
Scones:

Hey George, thanks for tuning in. Yep, good times at the record fair today, but a sad week for electronic music.

Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Great stuff!
(P.S. You no like the live playlist mode?)
  12:52am
Scones:

Hey Kenzo! We do appreciate it. We're just in the habit of live-mixing, so we don't get to update the playlist right on time.

Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Fabulous, fabulous. Only way I do live playlisting on my own hyper noise fest is because I rigged up my system to do it for me (see, for example, wfmu.org...).
Keep it up!

didn't realise you were on the door, else i'd have congratulated you on this show! also Q-Tip, wow. missed him too

Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I generally refuse to mix live in mono venues

Scones:

Fact Check: Bernard Parmegiani did NOT invent Triscuits.

Good program. I'm just a couple of days into considering sound design as a possible hobby. Glad I tuned in.

Golde:

Well, that's just GREAT.

nidrian - cool man! check this out if you're interested: www.discogs.com...

Thanks, Scones. I've bookmarked it for later review. The video on that page was interesting.

CDToaster:

Just got Max Eastley/David Toop: New and Rediscovered Musical Instruments on CD from Discogs so yeah, that's a great turn-on for Mr./Ms. nidrian.
Avatar 1:47am
CDToaster:

Yeah, Discogs and GEMM.com blow Amazon away with much of that hard-to-find stuff, and often at a good price, too. Happy shopping at one of the best music stores!

Scones:

nice CD Toaster! on that tip, picked this up recently - www.dust-digital.com... beautiful project as always from dust-to-digital
  1:52am
Scones:

thanks Kenzo (excuse the late reply) - street hassle is one of THE lou reed jams!

Wow, what an amazing audio book. I suppose you'll play some tracks from it at some point after you receive it, right Scones? Hope so. Very interesting stuff!

nidrian:

Yeah, I like discogs. I might just have to buy that Alan Splet sound effects cd.
Avatar 2:05am
CDToaster:

Has anyone checked out the prices on those tracks Scones played by Bernard Parmegiani? Many of the vinyl LPs are going for nearly a thousand apiece on Amazon, and several hundred each for the CDs. That was quite an expensive first set, Scones!
  2:08am
Scones:

dang! CD is the way to go. Otherwise, time to petition Peter Rehberg to pick up on the Recollection GRM release schedule?
Avatar 2:12am
CDToaster:

I guess so, Scones... Sometimes an fmu DJ will play such an awesome set of tunes during a set that I scrape together whatever funds I can to buy the music and support the artists. Trying to do that with Scones' first set would set someone back about $4,000! Thanks Kenzo for the archives and all the tech stuff he does.

CDToaster has left the chatroom but will continue listening. 'night all.

'Nighty CDToaster!

And my even later reply, @Scones: One of my Street Hassle remixes happened last month: wfmu.org...
@CDToaster: Thanks! I'll certainly be using Bernard Parmegiani from this Scones archive in my next live show on Wed. 12/4 @ 2pm ET.
