Andrew:

Hi Julie! ^_^
This song is great! real haunting sound
  3:04am
Julie:

Good morning, Andrew!
  3:07am
fred:

Good morning Julie and Andrew
  3:08am
other david:

Good morning Julie & listeners :)

I'll be donating either later today or tomorrow - promise!
  3:10am
Julie:

Hi, Fred & OD! You can donate anytime, but you need to do it FROM my playlists to credit it to my show, or check it off when you use the front page
  3:13am
ausmanx:

evening Miss Julie... goodness, haven't heard this for decades... "All About You" from this album is one of the greatest pop songs of the 1980s, I reckon...
  3:15am
Julie:

@Aus I love every song in this album!
  3:40am
Julie:

Oh man this is reminding me of some 80s song and I can't figure out what
  3:45am
ausmanx:

the riff sounded like Funky Town to me, but not the rest of it...
  3:51am
Andrew:

it was hot here today ^_^
  3:53am
Julie:

I like cold better actually.
  3:55am
Marmalade Kitty:

Good morning Julie & listeners all!!!!!
  3:56am
Julie:

Good morning Kitty!
  3:57am
Andrew:

me too. i was out in it gardening. i think i got sunburnt O_Q
Hi Marmalade Kitty ^_^
  4:01am
Marmalade Kitty:

The auk?
  4:05am
other david:

we had the joint hottest day of the year last week. which was an odd and slightly unpleasant surprise for me, since i like it cool, already looking forward to winter :)

julie - if I check off two shows, is it as simple as them both getting half the pledge added to their totals?
  4:09am
Julie:

Honestly I don't know :(
  4:10am
Andrew:

The woman from DCD lives not far from here ^_^
  4:10am
Julie:

It does give you that option to pick more than one, so I guess it should
  4:15am
Andrew:

I really have to get more moody blues.
this one is good ^_^
  4:17am
other david:

yup, I'm overcomplicating stuff, no sleep = no brain worky.

loving this set
  4:18am
Julie:

No one wants to make my little graph move?
  4:18am
Julie:

thank you OD!
  4:18am
(mta) Tony:

May God strike me dead, as OM is playing, I'm opening my mail and low and behold there is the In Search... Deluxe edition. I'm looking at my copy I just opened at this moment. What an unbelieveable coincidence! Wow!!!
  4:18am
Julie:

Yay! Great set!
  4:19am
(mta) Tony:

Can you believe I'm opening the CD you just played???!!!
  4:20am
Julie:

That's totally freaky
  4:20am
Andrew:

Harpsicorpse! I like them ^_^
  4:22am
(mta) Tony:

I've been listening to the Moodies constantly during the past 4 days straight, and discovered I was missing the long version of OM so I bought it and it arrived in my hand just at the moment Julie played the very song I bought the CD for! I just can't believe it that after all the MB I've been hearing, now this happens. I'm blown away.
  4:23am
Julie:

There ain't a clunker on that album
  4:23am
Marmalade Kitty:

The graph moved 4% since Dan Bodah
  4:24am
other david:

*decides that Julie & possibly the Moodies have mystical occult powers*
  4:25am
(mta) Tony:

This total head mind blow that just happened to me provides great joy for me to now make a donation as I just also got the mailing. What a great opportunity to donate to the station that never stops blowing my mind.
  4:25am
Julie:

@MK keeping a close eye?
  4:26am
Julie:

Well I am 99 percent likely to play the moody blues
  4:29am
(mta) Tony:

Perhaps, but how likely that the ONLY song I was missing from my inventory was the song you played at the moment I got it. I just turned on the computer and was going to play that song and there you are, playing it for me! I thought I was playing it with my mind since it was in my hand! I didn't understand how the song on the CD I was about to play was already playing. It's flipped out!
  4:30am
Julie:

Only one you didn't have? Ah you must have LOTS of Moodies
  4:36am
(mta) Tony:

What I meant by the "only one" was that it was the only one I wanted but didn't have. Yes Julie, I've been blessed with a vast inventory of music. However no, I don't collect live recordings. Somebody else does that. I have no live Moodies.
  4:53am
other david:

Right, I gotta pop out, hope to be back for the end of the show, if not, it's the archives for me... later folks!
  4:53am
Julie:

bye David!
  4:56am
(mta) Tony:

bye David, mystical powers be with you.
  4:57am
Julie:

may you have breakfast with John lodge
  4:57am
Marmalade Kitty:

Julie could you play Nico Lenny Bruce (eulogy)
  4:57am
Julie:

Hmm I'll see if I can find it do you know what album?
  4:58am
Julie:

ooh found it!
  4:59am
Julie:

that never happens that I actually find something in our mp3's
  5:01am
(mta) Tony:

Son-of-a-b!!!!! You won't believe me Julie but I just don't care: I received 3 CDs in the mail today and I'm opening them now. I work evenings. Just got home not long ago. Brought the Moodies as I previously said, then I opened the SECOND package of mail and it was JOHN LODGE: NATURAL AVENUE!
I swear Julie, it's true. You played and mentioned TWO of the 3 CDs I got today in the mail and I'm opening them right now. This is the Twilight Zone! WOW!
  5:03am
Julie:

I almost said Justin Hayward but John Lodge was a little more offbeat
  5:03am
(mta) Tony:

The chances of this happening must be one in billions.
  5:05am
Marmalade Kitty:

Thank you :)
  5:06am
KP:

Happy Anniversary.
  5:07am
stuart in seattle.:

nice call here on nico, thanks. after (imho of course) way too (ouch) derivative sub-elizabeth-frazierisms from happy rhodes imo.
  5:07am
(mta) Tony:

Imagine if you were going to play Chris Burke or Graham Nash, the other mail I just got. If you've got either of those artists in front of you, then you would feel like I do. Blown away.
  5:14am
Julie:

Well I did pull a blondie album
  5:16am
Julie:

oops that's Clem burke..don't know Chris burke!
  5:18am
Julie:

and really...the riff IS the best part of this song
  5:18am
Matt from Springfield:

Hi Julie!
Lipps Inc. is a good way to wake up! Why not play the 12" sometime? :)
  5:18am
Julie:

Good morning, Matt! Hey someone made my graph move! can we get it to 20??
  5:18am
stuart in seattle.:

funky town! pure greatness!
  5:18am
Julie:

@Matt I'm not loving it, some other song put it in my head
  5:19am
Julie:

haha my opinion is in the minority!
  5:20am
ausmanx:

i suspect you'd enjoy the cheesy cover version of Funky Town by some Australian pop group from the 80s whose name escapes me, Julie...
  5:20am
Matt from Springfield:

There's a lot of other great Lipps Inc., great grooves and hooks, electronic disco and post-disco.
  5:21am
Julie:

@aus quite likely!
  5:22am
(mta) Tony:

Julie, I never heard of him either, but I learned here at the bottom of the play list: http://wfmu.org/listen.m3u?show=42025&archive=72258&starttime=1:58:11
Thanks for a great night, Julie. You're terrific.
  5:23am
Julie:

@Tony awww thanks
  5:23am
ausmanx:

oh yes, Pseudo Echo...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnejLmQGYhg
  5:24am
Matt from Springfield:

Nena! Hell ja!
  5:25am
stuart in seattle.:

yes to nena also. excellent.
  5:28am
Matt from Springfield:

"Om (extended version)" -- sounds quite hippy-dippy, is it?
  5:29am
Julie:

we can all use an extended OM
  5:29am
Matt from Springfield:

Great transition! The synths on "The Metro" sound like the ones on Nena. People forget they were a good New Wave band before their "Take My Breath Away" fame!
  5:29am
Julie:

1/2 hour left..who wants to make my graph move? (that's not "code")
  5:29am
Julie:

That first Berlin album is terrific!
  5:30am
stuart in seattle.:

i think martha and the muffins' echo beach might well follow this.
  5:31am
Julie:

Sorry not fast enough!
  5:32am
stuart in seattle.:

ha but thanks! just an idea! nice show!
  5:34am
Julie:

thank you!
  5:36am
stuart in seattle.:

ah! thanks julie!
  5:36am
Julie:

Toyah also did this song
  5:37am
Matt from Springfield:

Thanks to the miracle of Spotify?
  5:38am
Julie:

Bingo!
  5:38am
pierre:

Bonjour Julie !
How are you ?
i'm sorry this an already late checking in.

Bonjour listeners !
  5:41am
Matt from Springfield:

Bonjour pierre! I'm a late check-in today as well, just glad we're all aboard! (Though it looks like you missed some French titles! :)
  5:42am
Julie:

Bonjour Pierre! Comment t'allez vous? is that right?
  5:49am
Matt from Springfield:

I don't know if you announced this already, but
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL!
I see the very first show was Oct 5 2010, this week last year! To many more successful, dark, poppy, and proggy seasons!
  5:50am
Julie:

  5:50am
(mta) Tony:

That's very cool, Matt. Congratulations, Julie.
  5:51am
Julie:

I didn't know it was so close to the date
  5:51am
Julie:

Thanks..I was hoping I could get to 20 percent, but anything it all still amazes me!
  5:52am
Matt from Springfield:

Thank YOU for a great show! The least I could do, especially since I see you finally convinced Black Tape to come on! Finally beat some sense into them, huh? :)
  5:53am
Julie:

@Matt man oh man has it been difficult!
  5:53am
Marmalade Kitty:
