  3:13am

hmm, would be interesting to hear Bohemian Rhapsody on harpsichord. There's not enough harpsichord these days...
  3:45am
Andrew:

your voice sounds like a nice dream ^_^
  3:54am
Julie:

I think her Bohemian was a cappella
  3:56am
Andrew:

ah.
that first ONJ song sounded very 60s & I didn't know she did a duet with Cliff!?
  3:56am
Jim:

Sounds great up here in the 90.1 Hudson Valley Zone. Nice program, just woke up early to this!
  3:59am
Julie:

She did another duet with Cliff for Xanadu. She was a regular on the Cliff Richard show back in the day, she even toured with him. (yes I know all things Olivia).
  4:00am
fred von helsing:

g'morning all !
  4:01am
cheri:

julie i just want to add that this is a rare treat for me cause i'm really enjoying your show this morn,,
  4:01am
Julie:

Good morning Jim & FVH
  4:01am
fred von helsing:

  4:03am

Embrace your ONJ love! It's okay!
  4:06am
Julie:

thank you, Cheri
  4:07am
cheri:

julie--i hope you'll be on evan's show wednesday night,,
  4:07am
fred von helsing:

and so many of my female icons, including ONJ, have turned out to be... oh how shall I put it... something other than hetero...
  4:08am
Julie:

SHH FVH that's a rumor ;)
  4:10am
fred von helsing:

I haven't heard these for thirty years... thank you Mlle. DJ! :-D and now I am going to shrink away and die of embarrassment
  4:13am
Andrew:

ooh i like this one, heard it before...a little more love? (my screen's not updating)
  4:14am
Andrew:

and just after i clicked send, she sang a little more love....
I wasn't even born when some of these ONJ songs came out. i was born in 1980
  4:19am
Andrew:

dammit i am dancing to Xanadu O_O
  4:22am
Andrew:

Oh, that's why that song sounded 60s...cos it was from 66...
1980 was a good year then ^_^

I love this background music.
  4:28am
fred von helsing:

oh noes! a glorious array of lipstick lesbians! or was that another video of his?
  4:29am
Andrew:

OMG T-REX O_O
*hugs you*
i have some fairly obscure T-rex compilations, some of the alternative albums & the out takes and such.
wow, haven't heard this song (only heqrd the one song by The Power Station.
Robert Palmer was good too.
  4:29am
Elwyn:

Hey everyone!
  4:30am
Julie:

FVH different video I think, that was his solo stuff with the female backup
  4:30am
fred:

Hello again. I see I missed the ONJ set
Hi Elwyn
  4:32am
Elwyn:

No! I need miore ONJ content in my life!
  4:32am
Andrew:

you're thinking of Simply Irresistible. I forget the clip to Addicted To Love.
Hi Elwyn!
  4:33am
Julie:

HI Elwyn! WB Fred!
  4:36am
Elwyn:

I've got enough Robert Palmer. I've even heard Palmer's mind blowing Husker Du cover:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvnEcz6PJKQ#t=3m48s
  4:36am
Andrew:

awesome! haven't heard this song before.
also you wouldn't believe, but it's exactly 8 years ago today (well yesterday)that Robert Palmer died...O_O time flies...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Palmer_(singer)

O_O adam & the ants cover! awesome!
  4:43am
fred von helsing:

ooo I like this, and it even reminds me a bit of milla jovovich's stuff
  4:46am
fred von helsing:

"Funny, I didn't know it was Jewish."
  4:56am
fred von helsing:

The sense of smell is the most deeply rooted of all the senses. Familiar smells from your childhood will always ring a bell even if you can't put a name on them. Today's show is like that. It's that carton of milk you forgot about and it's a bit funky and yet it's quite delish IF YOU DARE
  4:59am
other david:

eloquently put, fvh :)

loving this
  5:00am
Elwyn:

@fred: I just found the scariest thing in the refrigerator at work. I had forgotten I had bought some grapes and forgotten about them. They had frozen against the back and were in a nasty state of decay. I thought it was rotten crab legs at first.
  5:01am
fred:

I'm not sure whether I'm the younger fred here, or just that later music displaced those memories (might be a little of both)
@Elwyn: so did you DARE?
  5:01am
Julie:

Did you just say my show was rotten milk?
  5:03am
other david:

New show title?

Rotten, yet delish, milk at the back of fridge - with Julie
  5:03am
Elwyn:

@Julie: I think he did.
@fred: dare to eat them? they were black and nasty and frozen!
  5:04am
Andrew:

ooh I haven't heard any John's Children...I think....I have one of the Tyrranosaurus Rex albums on vinyl. I need a good record cleaner & player, I always worry mine will wreck it when I play it ,so I don't play it...
  5:04am
fred von helsing:

"rotten-yet-delish milk poured into tattered bunny skippers and flung against the wall of the wfmu listenership to see if it sticks" OMG nooooo
  5:05am
other david:

@Elwyn, excuses.. excuses...
  5:05am
fred:

Julie, I think he was thinking more of something like kumis
  5:05am
fred von helsing:

uh, sLippers d'oh
  5:09am
Andrew:

this is a nice song, good cover. Her voice is nice.

I think I have a couple of volumes of the unchained series...
  5:11am
fred von helsing:

so many dead media... need a vinyl player, need a cassette player, need discwasher fluid... don't need no eight-track praise the Lord
  5:14am
Andrew:

I never stopped listening to casettes, they are handy & small with a walkman. Records are annoying because they aren't portable, but then they are more of an 'occasion' to put one on & listen. but also a hassle having to have a good setup so they don't get damaged.

I've never had 8-track either.
  5:16am
Andrew:

I have that Bauhaus album with Telegram sam, I like it. I wouldn't consider Bolan & Bowie similar really.
  5:17am
Elwyn:

I accidentally broke my record player when I tripped while carrying it. Never had an 8 track. I guess I'm too young (35).
  5:18am
T-Zero:

I need a way to play vinyl as well. The turntable was broken in the last move.
  5:20am
other david:

Oooo yes, this set is going to be epic
  5:21am
fred:

I spent a few years without a working record player. Then I saw Chocolat Billy, and they only put out vinyl, so I ended up getting a new one. Vinyl doesn't look dead at all to me, there's plenty of brand new stuff that's only on vinyl
  5:21am
Andrew:

I love Ballroms of Mars, it's on the slider album (which I have, was my first album of theirs) It does have a sad kind of feel to it, there's a couple of sad sounding sounds on that album.

This was a great set ^_^

Yeh, I also have a T-rex compilation called T-Rex Rocks (with a pinkish cover) & Get it On is missing!?! I copied it & added Get it On from another CD & it is such an awesome CD now ^_^

ooh haven't heard Brigitte sing before....

They have quite a lot of tables nowadays, seems funny they disappeared & now they are back. There's ones tht hook up to the PC so you can record off the vinyl, or play it. not sure of the quality, but you can get them here for $60 & up.
  5:27am
Elwyn:

I hate it when a "best of" CD forgets something.
  5:31am
Andrew:

I liked her in the movie The Science of Sleep.
  5:32am
Julie:

good movie!
  5:33am
fred von helsing:

AW CRAP i had to go do some work and i'm missing la mode francaise! ARGH!
  5:35am
fred von helsing:

Trust me on this one, there's a great segue from the end of Harley Davidson to the start of Fly Feather Fly (Donita Sparks & the Stellar Moments)
  5:42am
Andrew:

Is that Fred Schneider in the background?
  5:42am
Marmalade Kitty:

morning Julie!!!
  5:43am
Julie:

yes it is!
  5:43am
fred von helsing:
