"Learned helpnessness" is a great phrase. The other day I got in a discussion with somebody who was trying to tell me that there's just nothing you can do to help with the environmental crisis, recycling doesn't help, driving an electric car doesn't help, etc, etc - I refuse to live like that, got to hold on to some sense of agency and hope

I grew up in South Carolina, and there was massive chaos every time there was an inch of snow. Now I live in Finland where there is continuous snow for 4-6 months a year and it doesn't stop anything. Though there was a little bit of a plowing backlog a few weeks ago when we got two feet overnight. Usually it's just a few cm at a time and it gradually builds up.

Hi Charles. I keep putting off going back until the new window is installed in the sauna building. The carpenter my contractor hired was 6 weeks late making the frame, and then still didn't mount the glass. My contractor is gonna mount the glass and install it as soon as he gets over his flu, so hopefully next week. I used the sauna once with some Finnfoam replacing the window but decided not to go back until everything was finished.

Adjectives will usually take an "e" ending for a feminine noun, "s" for a plural masculine, and "es" for plural feminine. Of course since it's langauge there are exceptions, like if the adjective already ends with "s" or "x"
