It's all about next year...As a long suffering Red Sox fan with a few bright spots sprinkled in, I have a feeling they were in the Soto mix as a ploy to jack up the price, despite Big Papi's efforts. For me, I'd rather have 3 or 4 great pitchers for that price! We'll see how all this plays out...Good luck, as it will make the Metropolitans even more fun to watch!

Here's a nice quote from the interviewer: "Paxton was generous enough to bring some of the instruments he plays to the studio today. If he had brought all the instruments he plays, he would've had to rent a van. Guitar, fiddle, piano, harmonica, banjo and the bones is not even a complete list. Paxton, who is 35, grew up in Los Angeles near Watts and has called himself the throwback in a family of throwbacks. He now lives in New York."

Thanks, Annabella and Sean. A little trivia regarding My Brightest Diamond...Kevin went to North Texas University with Shara Nova, and through a completely different avenue, I played on one of her early recordings. Regarding Micky Dolenz at City Winery: The Loft, where he's performing, holds about 150 people, the main room about 500. He's doing two shows, but that's 200 fewer seats than if he was doing one show in the main room. I find it hard to believe that he couldn't have filled the main room; maybe he only became available at the last minute and the main room was already booked. Whatever the reason, as Irene said, what a treat to see him in such an intimate setting! And as Irene also said, he is a hell of a singer.
