Hello Krys and high/low rollers
I'm late, just back from my 7th dance show this week

↳ Song: "ABC TV 1970 Fall Preview featurette"
Wow, did you have to put this together, Krys, or did it come pre-packaged?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm
Krys O.:

↳ Dan S @1:44
Hi, Dan! Someone taped this off of TV in September 1970. Every major network used to put them together to promote their fall season. I remember watching them each year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm
Krys O.:

↳ Dan S @1:44
They usually lasted about a half hour.

Speaking of old-time TV, one of the dance shows this week used a progressively deconstructed classic cartoon as a soundtrack (the duck season / rabbit season Bugs Bunny one)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm
Krys O.:

↳ Dan S @1:44
It sounds like the sort of thing that would be shown at corporate gatherings for the network affiliates, but it was for the general TV viewing audience.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm
Dan S:

↳ Krys O. @1:46
I remember fall previews, but not a *single* one for every upcoming show!

One of the things we had that we used to love was a beach towel of the 1973 NBC season.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm
Krys O.:

Hi, Henry! Amazing. I have to look up that season. I have a reference book that I bought from Peter Keepnews at a record fair many years ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
Krys O.:

↳ Webhamster Henry @1:51
So, in 1973 NBC had Disney, of course, Lotsa Luck, The Magician (loved that show), Police Story, Adam 12, Wednesday Mystery Movie, Flip Wilson (!), Ironside (!), Sanford & Son, The Girl with Something Extra, Dean Martin, Emergency, etc.

A pause to browse the playlist. January 1970 I moved out of my parents' house. No TV for 20 years, and then it was for my kids to watch kid VHS tapes.

So this 1970 TV survey is a little familiar but know only a few of shows.

Is the book you have that shows the major network schedule for each year? I saw one like that and it was interesting to map out what my family watched (80% my father's choices) and see the programs that we didn't see.

I don't think the Opel had a Wankel rotary engine. Here's the info I got: "The Buick Opel was equipped with a 1.9L inline-four cylinder engine, producing 90 horsepower."

Have a Commander, welcome aboard! Show us your Lark pack! You get a lot to like with a Marlboro. A silly Millimeter longer. You've got her own cigarette, now, Baby! Cig ads gone for decades, still taking up space in my head.

In 1987 I was in Japan for a few months. James Coburn was in a cigarette commercial in which he said "Speak Lark". Besides the TV commercial there were posters and billboards everywhere. For some reason it started a purge from my brain of the TV commercial earworms I had previously been exposed to.
