hunterfelt, so happy for you! I stupidly forgot about his gig when I lived in Hamburg.. And then later on it was too late...

but Mr. Peter Kember a.k.a. Sonic Boom a.k.a. Spectrum I did see a bit over two weeks ago very near his home town of Rugby, in Coventry. He did not play this song but was otherwise very good. The late great Finnish combo 22-Pistepirkko did a very good cover live though. Unlike the composer of their live cut of choice, Daniel Johnston, I got to see 22-Pistepirkko quite many times, and yet I miss them terribly.

OK! I just can't find any info over the internet on this.

The gig I meant was (had to google, my memory is shot and I was NOT there) a benefit for Spacemen 3 drummer/artist Natty Brooker, who was ill with terminal cancer. This was in Hoxton Bar and Grill, London, the summer of 2010 - he sadly passed away in 2014.

So weird to hear about wildfires in your part of the country. Up until a year and a half ago, I lived in what seemed to be a perpetual bug-out zone in late summer/early fall. I don't miss that.

They were a dominant European culture for a time, but it seems they originated along the Atlantic, and where their core roots remain.

The "seán-nós" (old style) Irish singing has been compared to Moroccan/Atlas singing for a while, and recent DNA studies have supposed there is some common genetic strains between them - a common coastal culture thousands of years ago?

Yes - and the Mystery of "Darkness", in my view hinting at the "Unknown Unknowns" of existence. Not necessarily bad things - but the things you will never grasp, whatever they are.

The black in the heart of a flame might also compare to the "Lotus arising from Fire", if that helps you.
