But last time I was out there I checked the NJ Transit schedules before heading out. Nearest mass transit stop on the weekends is a bus stop. And that wasn't close either. I nearly killed myself walking in the heat to get there.

Thank you for playing Buddy Merrill! A terrific guitarist, and what gets lost to history is that he was still in his teens when he was on the Welk show as a featured soloist in the 50's (and played some mean Speedy West style steel too), and that he probably helped sell as many Fender Stratocasters in the 50's as any other name artist.

Ringing in from the Carolinas - Redeye Gravy isn't really gravy (no starch and little fat) but more of a country ham au jus. Deglaze your cast iron pan with coffee after sizzling up a salt cured country ham steak, then season as you like - black pepper, brown sugar, a dusting of cayenne, etc. Yip!!
