Reggie Jackson made a HUGE impression on me when I was a little kid. I went to my first Deetroit Tigers game in 1982. They were playing the Angels. Reggie Jackson on his first at bat of the game was met with a roar of boos and insults coming from the stands. I was really confused. I was like "Why you guys booing Reggie Jackson? He's like the President!" As this was happening Reggie just stood there and the boos got louder. He made the "bring it on" gesture and the crowd went nuts. then he hit a homerun on the first pitch. I was stunned. Later on I recognized the power of baiting the crowd - haha!

"I would like to make a recommendation and a request. I recommend Goldmine to check out a new book titled The Spider With The Platinum Hair , just released in the U.K. by the Independent Music Express. It is a fine story of one my favorite guitarists of all time, the multi-talented Mick Ronson. Not only does the book tell a fine musical story of Ronson's career, but it dives into some of his personal background I was never aware of. Written by Weird And Gilly (their real names?), it would be nice to see U.S. distribution."

Maybe there's a clue?
