One of the challenges of Old Time Radio Shows is trying to find accurate information. In the case of "Rogue's Gallery," we don't have recordings of all the shows, there's a couple different sources for "complete sets" of existing shows, and it is hard to know which ones have accurately labeled titles, too. (I have found many shows that are actually duplicates of other shows, but labeled as something else.)

This is a long way of saying: I have had to "triangulate" the truth when it comes to this show, and finding all the "existing" episodes.

the "tl;dr" version: Replaying this show "in-order" is going to be a challenge.

I do wish there were more detective / noir stories with "feisty old ladies" instead of just femme fatals. It would be nice to shake it up once in a while.

This is not only the last episode of "Bold Venture," but the sound is terrible, and the theme song (and a few other transitional cues) are completely missing. I've done my best to "stitch" together a couple different episodes, to fill in the missing cues. I also did a little EQ, to try and improve the overall sound, which is not a good as in other episodes.

Sorry everyone! It is what it is...

There was a part of me, early in this project, where I thought about trying to actually do as much "remastering" as possible, to improve these shows as much as I could. But not only is that not sustainable, but it is a project for someone with more free time that I have. I would love to get nerdy about some of my favorite shows, and create some "superior" sounding versions. But where would I find the time or money?

This show is incomplete, and we don't have every episode of "Bold Venture." So we don't know if this is actually the last episode, or merely the last one that has been "found." Most sources do list this as the last, and it most likely is.

I think most people agree that there COULD be 79 episodes, according to available outside sources. Currently, there are 57 episodes that are easily available to most people. Rumor has it that there is a group that has found all 79 episodes, but until I can order them from somewhere, I'm not sure I buy that rumor.

Still... I want to believe.

There are a shocking number of old, vintage Sports recordings available as "Old Time Radio." I have listened to one, from 1939. (I was curious.) It wasn't that interesting... but it does give you a sense that baseball on the radio has pretty much always sounded the same.

I have probably mentioned this before, but I have debated weather to continue airing Sci-Fi in that final slot every week, OR if I should switch to Horror at some point. (I do like the idea of ending with a creepy story every week.)
