Is that you Bob? Writing a quick hello before I have to get some sleep. I will be doing some commenting when I catch up listening to recent episodes from the archive.

after some silence, I hear a voice. Was it the voice of Bob Barth or his minion? Sounding like it.

One reason only me commenting is that this show wasn't showing active on the WFMU page or even on the Sheena land page. but the links are active now.

Hiya👋BB. So glad y’all got it figured out and up and running. I have had a bit of a coincidental shift in availability for Thursday nights for the last few weeks. But hopefully back to normal next week (?!)🤞.
So, quickly here: sincerely, I am honored & delighted at finally listening to last weeks “morning train”. ‘Twas just a whim in response to your playful previous weeks opener “runaway train”. You are a game guy ! Fun and thoughtful uniqueness (& show !) Appreciated.

Week to week, your subjects ; it’s kinda bonkers…
Being the arts 🎭 hounds must be the common
Denominator that has our cultural paths crossing over.
Seeing “Every Brilliant Thing” via the HBO(?) live theatre filming doesn’t quite do it Justice or capture that live participatory vibe or emotion. As you may guess, my partner and I always get approached readily at participatory events. (chalk it up to very enthusiastic, excitable vibes emanating, as well as a usually broad toothy smile). Anyway, I got an initial long quote to read
As my participatory handout… but when i moaned & groaned abt it (I have a nervous reaction to live participation, cause it usually has me distracted from being able to relax and really take-in and enjoy the show
I’m attending!) anyways, the performer retrieved it and switched it out for an even larger part! (As the guy that gets on one knee and proposes to the other guest). To say the least, My long term partner (not married) was not only in hysterics and stitches over it (also kinda flabbergasted to witness me proposing to a total stranger !). Memorable evening at the theatre -To say the least.

When I was a young man (perhaps 20/1985) attended early pre-fame “Penn&Teller Off-Broadway” show. (At the time they were a Letterman fave & had been on SNL) anyways, was sitting in the last row of the smallish NYC theater… and just before the show starts, the very large and tall Penn J surreptitiously overlooks the entire theatre from the back row and points at me and says: “hey YOU, come with me!” Ugh. Brought me up on stage! Off-Broadway Blinding white lights in my eyes.(¿ how Do theatre folks get usta those blinding lights!). And both of them proceeded to give me a few confounding tasks to do, demanding my return to the stage at the end of the 1st act! (With a few essential props to tuck under my seat,as to make their trick even more impressive). Double ugh. I could barely concentrate on the dang show, I was so nervous. That was my first major picked out of a crowd, and in front of an off-broadway audience ta boot. & it’s happened several times since, albeit in regional theatre. Funny. “Flop sweat” and nerves aside…it is memorable. And gives me stories to tell - And chuckles to my friends. The

@mr Fab: indeed re EW&F: my fave is absolutely their 1st(!?) the Melvin Van Peebles “Sweet SweetBack soundtrack !!! Not typical of what was to come with them or their career, but what a start. I collect Melvin Van Peebles albums and soundtracks. (Including his live theatrical productions recordings). I find they ALL have a special indescribable quality.

Erik! You are not going to believe this but the last time I was in Vegas I took my son to see P&T. The same night we rolled in. I started to get sleepy (no fault of theirs) Teller spotted me (I know he did) My eyes popped open and he was bringing me up on stage for a bit in which he swallows a bunch of needles & had me search his mouth. I still get a kick out of being on stage (truth is, I miss it) So that aspect was fine what was truly off putting was Teller saying "Search my mouth really dig around." Quetlyt under his breath. Was NOT expecting thay!
