He said, the doorman won't let us in unless we dress up. The doorman had on a turtleneck and beads. Everyone else was very hip-attired. I was one Embarrassed 19-year-old! Dad apologized afterward. Hee!

Just up there on a little dais, unsmiling, noodling away, evoking Saturn. I found this gloriously amusing.

I saw a few of their "reunion" concerts before the pandemic in NYC (Phillip Johnston and Joel Forrester both moved out of the US, so they only play together when they all happen to be here). I saw them once at Under Acme on the day of a blizzard-there were 2 other people there. I tend to bop my head in time to the band when I'm at a show; I looked up, saw the band doing their impression of me bopping. I asked members of the band about it at a reunion concert, they remembered it clearly. Bit embarassing...

	🥁 10:55am doctorjazz: @PAULS-I've seen them many, many times (there are a number of bands I tried to see whenever they played, they were on the list). I saw a few of their "reunion" concerts before the pandemic in NYC (Phillip Johnston and Joel Forrester both moved out of the US, so they only play together when they all happen to be here). I saw them once at Under Acme on the day of a blizzard-there were 2 other people there. I tend to bop my head in time to the band when I'm at a show; I looked up, saw the band doing their impression of me bopping. I asked members of the band about it at a reunion concert, they remembered it clearly. Bit embarassing...
