Bongos & the Groovies was not the name of my first band in high school. (The name was taken.)

One of the most painful grotesqueries in music had been Gil Scott-Heron's life-imitating-art descent into becoming a living character from one of his songs. Brutal. Rest in peace, genius.

NZ partner was hoping to hear some Shona Laing, but worried it couldn't happen when Tamburlaine was "lasting 900 years."

This morning I was thinking -- why...? -- about what movies the late Chris Penn was in and remembered one of 'umz Reservoir Dogs.

That Tamburlaine cut did go lusciously forever.

In the early '70's, The Hare Krishna would promenade down Ocean Front Walkway in Venice on Sunday afternoon, giving incense to all the drunks and stoned hippies as they danced around beating drums and crashing cymbals.

solo -- I'm guessing no one else today can match the hue of unusual distinction in that personal history sentence. Franco'd be a contender probably.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am

Haha! I love that Solo. Yes, Laguna Beach was quite the place. My sister and her friend Kathy would take me to the gay part of the beach and abandon me their while they went shopping in town. It was my first up close observation of gay culture.

It's actually a little more severe than that by my understanding of "opprimer", which might've been wrong or might be out of date. I'd translate it as "A People who DISAPPROVE OF Another..."!
