i was half-joking with a friend yesterday, who had to go up to Seattle today, your choices are: hop into the sound and get hypothermia, or stay on land and get heat stroke.

Crikey Michael, tell me that’s not true! I went to my first legal state, Colorado, it was 95 F, went to a dispensary, let’s say the rest of the day was awesome but a tad blurred. I found a pub with AC which was a blessing! Thank the

I remember when I bought Talking Heads 77 and listened to it for the first time, it kind of scared me a little bit. It was so different, and my thoughts were "Is this where music is headed?" It was exciting but a little scary too, for some reason. Never felt that way about any other record.

Great record, that PIL. Funny how you can remember where you were when you first heard something off of certain records (lying on a bed in the St. Francis hotel in SF when I first heard the title cut on FoR...)

I was first iffy @ T.Heads. A pal real into them insisted I go over to his place late one night for a listen to their albums, up to Fear of Music. (He helped things with a substance.) At the end of the record party I'd come to see things his way.

That's because the best bands don't go on until 11 or 12, at least that's how it's been in NY

Spat. When this pandemic passes I'm gonna hold some late-night record salons, invited only. Here at the Scratchy Records & Muffled Tapes Depot. I'll let ya know..
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:51pm
Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150):

I think it depends on the city. I guess Sydney is like NY - gigs stop around midnight and in Sydney, public transport stops around 1am but some people will miss the encore of the headline act to get home.
Melbourne seems better. Lots of small bars and gigs that start at 2 am.
