Books are MOST of the time better than the movie and by all means avoid remakes of remakes, A Star is Born... I mean - I like goofy Japanese Kaiju flix... '33 original Kong is a MidCentury Fairy Tale - it's as good as anything there is. Often think how growing up in the 1970s we'd get stuff from other decades - the whole 20thCentury up to then.

He was friends with Ray Bradbury & Ray Harryhausen when they were all just kids in L.A. - & between the three of them & their support of each other - they are responsible for kind of a whole facet of Culture as we know it.

Books are MOST of the time better than the movie and by all means avoid remakes of remakes, A Star is Born... I mean - I like goofy Japanese Kaiju flix... '33 original Kong is a MidCentury Fairy Tale - it's as good as anything there is. Often think how growing up in the 1970s we'd get stuff from other decades - the whole 20thCentury up to then.
