	10:18am Jeff Golick: Rather remarkable: "This performance of Stay On It was one of our first “hybrid remote” projects. Once it was safe for the four of us to gather in a studio together, we did a full live take of the piece as a quartet to establish the form (Stay On It is enormously flexible with regard to duration, repetitions, etc). Then we invited our other collaborators to begin supplying layers remotely. This combination allowed to invite a broad spectrum of other artists into the project, while also capturing some of the raw immediacy of live performance which was so striking in Eastman’s archival performance."

	11:46am Jeff Golick: Per Dave Rempis: "One of the interesting benefits of playing outside is evident on these recordings: all of the great background noises that play into the improvisations. Check out the overwhelming swells of sound from the chorus of cicadas, the punctuation of passing cars on Lake Shore Drive, and the cardinal calls at the end of the trio with Abrams and Reid for example. Or the truck beeping as it backs up at the end of the duo with Tim Daisy. Or the barking dog that passes through during the trio with Abrams and Damon. Those events all became a part of the music, and they’re presented here without any effort to filter them out, to give a better sense of what the experience of these concerts was actually like."

Once it was safe for the four of us to gather in a studio together, we did a full live take of the piece as a quartet to establish the form (Stay On It is enormously flexible with regard to duration, repetitions, etc). Then we invited our other collaborators to begin supplying layers remotely. This combination allowed to invite a broad spectrum of other artists into the project, while also capturing some of the raw immediacy of live performance which was so striking in Eastman’s archival performance."

Check out the overwhelming swells of sound from the chorus of cicadas, the punctuation of passing cars on Lake Shore Drive, and the cardinal calls at the end of the trio with Abrams and Reid for example. Or the truck beeping as it backs up at the end of the duo with Tim Daisy. Or the barking dog that passes through during the trio with Abrams and Damon. Those events all became a part of the music, and they’re presented here without any effort to filter them out, to give a better sense of what the experience of these concerts was actually like."
