	10:06am YETI BOB: I think TX is like NJ and FL in some ways - it has a reputation that isn't 100% accurate. There is some truth to the stereotypes, but there's also a lot of diversity. Not everyone in FL is Florida Man and not all Texans are cowboys. And not everyone from NJ is a ____.

	10:54am TDK60: Actually I've heard both the Hampton movie and the one on the Chicago 7 films criticized for fogging up the events; typical for Hollywood when it comes to the '60s left.
	10:56am YETI BOB: TDK: Really? I've read several articles about how accurate "Judas" was. They took a few small liberties (the timing of Bill O'Neills suicide) but overall I think it's pretty accurate.
	10:57am Handy Haversack: I watched it, yeah. The acting was solid. But ... well, what TDK60 said. Politics and history subsumed by story. A compelling movie, but I don't know if it's even possible to tell revolutionary stories in the framework of capitalist film production.

I am a committed socialist, but didn't go into this expecting left-wing agit-prop. I thought it was great, for what it is.

He used to sit in my office, under a poster of his original recording for TVT, waiting for the GM across the hall. We'd chat for hours or at least until he nodded off. Those were his later years and he was kinda out of it a lot of the time but still had plenty of nuggets of insight. And he still had that voice. Nothing like it.

	10:56am YETI BOB: TDK: Really? I've read several articles about how accurate "Judas" was. They took a few small liberties (the timing of Bill O'Neills suicide) but overall I think it's pretty accurate.
	10:57am Handy Haversack: I watched it, yeah. The acting was solid. But ... well, what TDK60 said. Politics and history subsumed by story. A compelling movie, but I don't know if it's even possible to tell revolutionary stories in the framework of capitalist film production.

He used to sit in my office, under a poster of his original recording for TVT, waiting for the GM across the hall. We'd chat for hours or at least until he nodded off. Those were his later years and he was kinda out of it a lot of the time but still had plenty of nuggets of insight. And he still had that voice. Nothing like it.
