Pseu, are your organ inyerludes between sets really Lenny Dee? My mom loved that guy when I was growing up here in south Florida.

Gerry FM: for sure, I've always said this about The wrecking Crew, that they made up 75% of the pop sound of the 60s, if not more. Can't imagine it sounding any other way, those guys were truly impressive.

@morphe Saw that yesterday haha I think that's it. Florida man has officially out-Florida'd himself
  2:21pm
Gerry from Miami:

@Steve H I think Lenny Dee plied his musicsl trade here in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area during my youth. Hotels, night clubs, the usual stuff for an itinerant organist with perhaps a small combo. But he did issue quite a few recordings as well.

An IPA with notes of....old Marlboro Red butts soaked in urine?

Hyper - nice cop offered to call a taxi .. FL refused and FLman called 911 again - busted by the same cop and must pay $300 or more in fines... plus lost his weed ....

Yr DJ'ing is great!

Folks, the Wikipedia entry en.wikipedia.org... is woefully incomplete. I just added Jim Price and Bill Kelly, for gosh sakes! So get in there and add whoever you remember who's not listed somehow already, and if you're stuck for a reference just link to archives here as I did.

@morphe I know he called 911 for a taxi, so they were willing to let him off with a warning? Wow, talk about not getting out of your own way.

Back to the burner suggestions. Howzabout a Outhouse Burner. Why, Because it's full of it ?.
  2:33pm
Listener Robert:

I'd've added an entry for Paul and Morbid if I didn't keep instantly forgetting their full names every time somebody here reminds me of them.

If "notable" is the criterion, it should at least have an entry for DJ Keilli[dh] as WFMU's youngest -- I think.
  2:40pm
Gerry from Miami:

@Steve H. Did a little research on Lenny Dee. He eventually settled in the Sarasota/St. Petersburg area of Florida on the Gulf side, but he was a member of the Lauderdale/Miami scene as well during his long career. He might even merit the title of "Father of Easy Listening," but he really was quite an accomplished organist.
