Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm Greg from ZONE 5:

I like a moonshine & LSD shake for breakfast, another for lunch, and then a sensible dinner.
  1:31pm WM:

I did a quick Google on Frank Vincent. His credits include Van Vorst Park (2005). (VVP is within walking distance of the WFMU studio.) There is a 12/04/05 article in the Hudson Reporter with the headline "Mob meeting in Van Vorst Park New movie features JC resident [Paul] Dunleay and actor Frank Vincent." The director, Kathy Cacidedo, is also listed as a JC resident. Haven't seen it and never heard of it before, but I'll try to dig it out and write a mini-review if it's worth a look.

Avatar 1:33pm Rex:

The management of WFMU does not endorse the use of LSD with moonshine.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm mariano:

Mister Dobalina: an ice-cream social is just a social gathering where ice cream is featured. The word "social" is sometimes used as a noun for a party/gathering.

Avatar 1:40pm Mister Dobalina:

Much oblige, Mariano. So before all this craziness, I would say that I attended many socials, some times ice cream was involved, other times not. That sounds fair to say.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm mariano:

  1:57pm WM:

@Greg from ZONE5: I think the John Travolta movie Perfect (1985) features an opening establishing shot of the Jersey Journal sign that used to be on display near Journal Square. The title on the screen is "Jersey City, NJ" to indicate Travolta's humble start before he moves on to the exalted status as journalist for Rolling Stone.
