WR:

Wondering why the name of the city started showing up in popular song read the Wikipedia page for the city and learned: Kalamazoo was the original home of Gibson Guitar Corporation, which spawned the still-local Heritage Guitars. The company was incorporated as "Gibson Mandolin - Guitar Co., Ltd" on October 11, 1902, by the craftsman Orville Gibson. One budget model was named the Gibson Kalamazoo "Melody Maker" Electric Guitar.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am
Feldpausch:

WR, Gibson produced a run of budget guitars under the name Kalamazoo. My friend has one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am
Franco Twinkie:

The Melody Maker is a great guitar. A kid who lived down the street from me had one. It had formally belonged to some guy who got shipped off to Vietnam and didn't come back. And if that wasn't enough, the guy also had a VW Transport - the truck with knock down sides to haul his gear around in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am

Franco, I did a sketch of GG, rolled over it with thin acryllic and drew over it with prisma pencils for a rough and I like how it turned out so I might use it as-is and do Solo's in a similar technique

Ah, I remember when Comrade Chaliapin brought the song of the comrade boat workers to the attention of the world. Whatever happened to comrade Chaliapin. It has been many years since I've heard from him.

SOLOoooOOOoooOOOO!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am
StringOFperils:

Franco, If you are working in 'analog' media, how are you getting the original artwork to GG? Are you simply scanning it into raster and sending it, or something beyond that? I'm curious because I wanted to create a tarot card as well, and all of my cracked software (Illustrator, Flash, Photoshop) is long gone at this point. I'm back to my old friends: pencils, inks, paint, paper, etc
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am
solo mon:

I should send u a new photo of me feld. I’ve had some work done and look a lot more like a cat than before.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am
solo mon:

String! I’m sure some one can scan it for you. If you send we can scan :-)

Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39am
Feldpausch:

Solo, I saw the absence of beard. Send me your new style. Starting sketches for your card very soon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39am
solo mon:

Maybe the card can come w a beard sticker.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40am
solo mon:

Haha yeah that’s all you saw me bare faced. I was kidding about the Botox
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40am
Feldpausch:

StringOFperils, analog is the way to go! If you don't have a scanner, even an iPhone shot looks pretty good in natural light
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41am
Feldpausch:

Solo, let's laminate it and make a Colorforms accessories sheet with a beard, cats, records, glasses of milk
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am
chresti:

Franco gets his pen and inks scanned into pdf files, StrinGo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am
