	4:13pm northguineahills: Sent my background check doc to my partner so she can edit it (I don’t have an Adobe license). I may have accidentally got a job, but I’ll find out next week. One more interview to go. Still living at a rest area. Cecil always clears the cobwebs in my brain.
	4:14pm Jeff Golick: That said, one's first live Cecil Taylor gig is a uniquely unmooring experience.

	4:16pm doctorjazz: I told this before, but Cecil was the week's pick in the Times at a long gone Village club. The write up talked about how he was not as bombastic as he had been, but was mixing it up with softer dynamics. I got there, a line had formed around the block (as happens with a Times pick). I didn't think I'd get in, but I got on line, which was moving pretty quickly. What happened was Cecil indeed was varying dynamics, loud, soft, but he always played like Cecil... People came, listened, maybe waited a bit for the mellower music, then left. I got nice front row seats for 2 sets.
