Favoriting October 31, 2020: John Schnall’s Midnight Matinee Presents: Hello, Ween
At the stroke of midnight, as Halloween begins, the Boognish Man is coming to Midnight Matinee. Hello, Ween! After 15 years in an asylum, or possibly New Hope, Gene and Dean return like a drifter in the dark to wreak havoc with their own bare hands, cover it with gas and set it on fire. It’s gonna be a long night. Plus 2 hours of something Halloween-appropriate.

I find it hard to pick a favorite Ween song. It's like picking a favorite color. Or child. Or color for a child. Or childlike color. But none of the songs referenced in the description to this show actually appear in the show, so there's that.

thanks for listening everyone. thanks to john for providing another fine midnight matinee. thanks to the skeleton crew for manning the boards (HUZZAH! folks). this has been a fun october as far as presenting a show is concerned and i thank you all for continuing to support the station during difficult times. next week we’ll be kind of back to normal though the freeform will be mixed in with a tribute to my friend bill weber who passed away (but bill loved freeform so you won’t notice too much of a difference though i will mention why i played a song or two as there will be a reason [there usually isn’t beyond flow]). VOTE on tuesday (or before) and hopefully we can smile a little on wednesday. take care and stay safe.
