	10:57am YETI BOB: Found a buckeye tree last night, thought i was lucky and found chestnuts! gathered up a bunch, took them home and started to prepare them, and realized something was wrong - water was turning a strange bluish color instead of the usual brown tannins. Looked it up and found that they are poisonous, so I threw them away! But then I read you can eat them if they are "properly" prepared. Has anyone here ever eaten Buckeye?

	10:57am YETI BOB: Found a buckeye tree last night, thought i was lucky and found chestnuts! gathered up a bunch, took them home and started to prepare them, and realized something was wrong - water was turning a strange bluish color instead of the usual brown tannins. Looked it up and found that they are poisonous, so I threw them away! But then I read you can eat them if they are "properly" prepared. Has anyone here ever eaten Buckeye?

I thought it was named after the crack smoking DC mayor for some reason. Quickly I learned that marion berry pie and ice cream is gooooood.

It has been a loooooong time since I had to deal with getting a new computer set up. 2007 since a full relaunch, 2012 since I added one to the system. I'm nervous about getting it all up and running and then rescuing the info from the old. But gotta do it. Unfortunately, Kate's got some dental emergencies going on, too. She's on her way back here, and then we're going to go BACK into Manhattan this afternoon for, uh, the other half of the tooth. Fun! Apparently, COVID anxiety has led to a rash of teeth-grinding-related extractions.
