This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

Winds & Skins recorded just one month before Sabu would die in 1979, truly tragic but an incredible, beautiful final recording

Enjoying these sounds. I know nothing of this artist, which is okay. The transient auditory swim is enough to wash whatever this is off of me for a while. Let it rain.

From allaboutjazz.com:
"Like many jazzmen in the late 1950s, Sabu struggled with heroin addiction, which took its toll on him as on all of jazz. He took odd jobs and even left music for a time, at one point running a strip joint on Baltimore's famous “Block.” But with the help of friends he landed new gigs. In 1960 he joined Louie Ramirez briefly to record one of the masterpieces of Latin jazz, “Jazz Espagnole.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm

Thanks Chresti, amazing.

Jazz Espagnole is legendary.
