There was one guy in Hollywood who had a company that supplied laugh tracks for most of TV. He would record live audience laughter in various lenghts and intensity and sold them. Funny, I remember NBC used the same sound effects for their shows. They had the same "door closing" sound in every show.

Nobody seemed to care so Edith Prickley replaced him as station manager.

Krys O: All of the SCTV cast had incredible range when it came to impressions. Shame that the breakout stars in the US wound up getting typecast in the movies, with Moranis and Levy as the nerds, Candy as the lovable fuckup, etc. They did great in those roles of course, but could do so much more.

Re: Flaherty's impressions, he does a great Peter O'Toole as well. One of my favorites is "The Man Who Would Be King of the Popes," a mashup of "Beckett" and "The Lion in Winter" with Flaherty as O'Toole and John Candy as Richard Burton. Dave Thomas did a really funny Richard Harris singing "MacArthur Park."

RE: GBV- they had 2 LP s drop in 2020 -this new one 'MirroredAztec' + the one in Feb, 'SurrenderYour PoppyField'. And OF course the tour to support it was set to start in April---and we all know about that
