Inside the place blasted disco music at a so-loud-it-hurts volume (hurts so good), and outside on a loud-speaker system, a funky tape-loop played over and over and over a voice intoning, BUMP, BUMP, BUMP, YER ASS OFF! BUMP YER ASS OFF!!!" The music I used to talk over at the beginning of the show is an homage to that scene.

	4:55pm Funky16Corners: I'm always fascinated by the effects of the colonial experience in Africa, but all over the world as well, as it pertains to music. Many of these artists are native French speakers (you get some Asian input in Dutch rock and pop coming from Surinam and Indonesia).

	4:59pm Little Danny: With with you there Larry. The pockets of influence and immigrant musical culture that have flourished in adopted homelands is also fascinating. Like Cape Verdean music in Massachusetts.

Inside the place blasted disco music at a so-loud-it-hurts volume (hurts so good), and outside on a loud-speaker system, a funky tape-loop played over and over and over a voice intoning, BUMP, BUMP, BUMP, YER ASS OFF! BUMP YER ASS OFF!!!" The music I used to talk over at the beginning of the show is an homage to that scene.
