He was educated in Paris and is credited by some with introducing the game of craps to the US, which he apparently learned in France. He more or less gambled away his vast inheritance, forcing him to sell off land in parcels, creating the Faubourg Marigny, NOLA's first suburb (though now very much in the middle of the city).

	5:33pm Todd76Pct: Not to be a stickler, but "Om" isn't really from Coltrane's last year. It was recorded in October of 1965 on the day after "Live in Seattle" was recorded, 'possibly' under the influence of LSD. He died in July 1967.
