Sun. Dec 22nd, 3pm - 5pm:
The Unsolicited Return of the Winter Soul-stice (fill-in for Paul Bruno)
(More info...)
You can't stop the seasons from turning, and you evidently also can't stop an old dog from performing his one old trick. Answering the teeming clamor of one New York Times food columnist
, Gaylord Fields is returning to WFMU's airwaves for a one-off Winter Soul-stice program. In his time away he's learned nothing, so the format will remain the same: two hours of original 1960s soul 45s, and the abuse of an expensive reverb machine for the sake of corny vocal effects.
Mary Marge, I was thinking of you while composing this set because of the Alabama theme that weaves through it (Mississippi's musical genius Bobbie Gentry notwithstanding).

Jerry Lewis always closed his MDA telethons by singing "You'll Never Walk.Alone."

I think in the U.K. they sing it for the Liverpool soccer team.
@Dave Conehead: Please don't come here and insult my musical choices. Better to say nothing instead of showing your ass. You are not welcome here. Please be a good chap and go voluntarly before I show you the door.
There was a site gave you a Meme for your Top 20 Albums.
Been thinking of My Other Top 20 Ever - & including 'Brain Salad Surgery'. This Other 20 would be more the Take That Critics list...
@wendy: Scott Williams and I were once comparing Caetano live shows, and he had a tendency to go to the "wrong" ones, while I attended pretty much all the "right" ones.
