• A “bad egg” cop can kill someone for ridiculous reasons.
• Fellow cops will not say — or do — much of anything because that is the culture of power.
• Supervision will not say — or do — much of anything because that is the culture of power.
• Local politicians will not say — or do — much of anything because that is the culture of power.
So yeah, there are blacks, hispanics and asians on police forces. But they want to keep the job? They have to fall in line. They attempt change? They are shunned, kicked out or made irrelevant.
So the system and culture of power doesn’t change and there you go.
