Louis Davids  Wat De Geesten Er Van Zeggen   Favoriting 1936  update after a listener's question:
Davids sings he is a practicing spiritist.
Each verse is about the ghost of a famous/historical person visiting him,
among which writers, composers, dutch heroes.
The twist is that after the singer for instance reads his latest poem to Joost van den Vondel,
he never hears from him again.
That happens in a different way whith each ghost.
The orchestra each time quotes melodies somehow connected to that person.

Yes, the excitement of being "LIVE ON THE AIR"! My ISP is usually rock solid but then it will go through several months of dropping every few hours for 15-30 seconds. Luckily it's been fine through the pandemic, but I'm waiting for the dropping to come back eventually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59am

I think a good number of your listeners (like me) are PST zone. I got up early today..

I'm PST and start work at 7AM, but to be honest I keep forgetting about the Thursday Sheena's shows. I need to get better about that, because I'm really enjoying this as a start to my day!

spodi, it was kind of nerve wracking at first, issues logging in, running around, dealing with people that weren't paying attention to the safety guidlines. It was warm, hard to breath going up the trail to the upper courts with a mask on...

Ending a long day with over 64. Interesting that several groups recorded under the name Chocolate Dandies. I think that on Bugle Call Rag The Chocolate Dandies
Musicians were: Bobby Stark (trumpet), Jimmy Harrison (trombone), Benny Carter (clarinet, alto sax), Coleman Hawkins (tenor sax), Horace Henderson (piano); Benny Jackson (guitar); John Kirby (bass or tuba); arrangement by Benny Carter
  Swag For Life Member 12:57am

Very coy & mild naughtiness, that Ada Jones Rainy Afternoon tune.

Getting late, will probably finish later. The one, Louis Davids / Wat De Geesten Er Van Zeggen, really wondering about the lyric.
