Matt from New Orleans:

I used to have a French picture sleeve EP that was in good shape that I found in Middle School when I went to Paris with my family. I saw it’s going for over $700 on Discogs. On that same trip, I got into a disagreement with my parents about how to get back to our hotel. I said we should go on this train and my parents disagreed so I went on the train and back to the hotel and left them there on the platform. They eventually got back to the hotel and were not pleased that I abandoned them. I was the only one who spoke French and it was adequate to get directions but not for extended conversations. I had taken a year and a half at that point.
