So, what can we call these pieces? Life metal? Mechanonica? Pre-post-industrial?

hi again, mariano!
no problem!
doing okay, considering
still resisting temptation of free Netflix, Hulu trial months -- i was unemployed even before the virus hit, so . . . not really wanting to turn into a total binger! but, with *reminders* like the "I Shot Andy Warhol" film, i might just give in :)
how is everything with you? all safe and healthy where you are? (NOLA, right?)

Is this Alexandre Tharaud?

(Was just playing Angela Hewitt's Couperin, which is lovely, but I kinda prefer Tharaud's.)

Bethany Ryker:

"Pre-post-industrial" sounds right to me!
  8:43pm
Dean:

Winter & Winter has some interesting Kagel material in the catalog, including a recital on accordion by Teodoro Anzelloti.
  8:43pm
greatb:

kinda wild to think Yoko Ono was hanging with the likes of Ligeti while Lennon was writing pop hits
  8:48pm
Dean:

I have this vague recollection of being at a premier performance of a Ligeti piece in the '90s at a Green Umbrella series show in LA at which the composer made an appearance. There was discussion about how to pronounce his first name.
